Terms of use

Updated and effective: September 7, 2026

These terms describe the use of the CantaVue website and current app beta. Contact the CantaVue project at info@cantavue.com. Installation and testing also follow the distribution platform’s applicable agreements; this page does not replace Apple’s standard license agreement.

Beta status and scope

The beta is for evaluation, testing and feedback. Features may change, stop working or contain errors. Website scenario images are labeled illustrations, not hardware certification, customer endorsements or guarantees of unreleased features. Public beta availability depends on an active official invitation and platform status.

Your scores and content rights

You retain rights you hold in scores, annotations, recordings and other content. Import, record, download or share only material you have permission to use, including any required permission for other people’s recordings or personal information. Using the app grants no rights to third-party scores; public availability does not establish permission in every region. Do not use the service to infringe rights, distribute unlawful content or interfere with others.

Saving, backups and performances

Keep original scores and independent exports or backups of important annotations and practice data. Sync preparation, local saving and external backup are distinct states. Test performance workflows and accessory compatibility beforehand and keep an appropriate fallback for reading scores. Beta defects may cause interruptions or data loss.

Third-party services and devices

Online score sources, system cloud file providers, TestFlight and other third-party services have their own providers, terms, copyright restrictions and availability. Camera, stylus, MIDI and pedal features depend on the platform, permissions and hardware. Scenario images do not establish compatibility with every model.

Charges, licenses and feedback

The current beta has no in-app purchase flow. Future release pricing or paid features will be described separately; sending feedback does not start a subscription. CantaVue-owned app, website and brand materials are protected by applicable rights; third-party and open-source materials retain their own licenses. We may use voluntarily submitted suggestions to improve the product without taking ownership of private scores, recordings or attachments.

Responsibility, statutory rights and changes

We provide the beta in its current state without promising uninterrupted, error-free use or suitability for every device or situation. Any limitation applies only where permitted by law and does not exclude non-excludable liability or consumer rights. Material changes will update this page’s date and be notified as required.
